Psalm 139:13-17

[13] For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. [14] I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. [15]  My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. [16] Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. [17] How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!

This passage is remarkably beautiful, as it shows a direct relationship between God and an embryo.

Colossians 1:15-17

[15] He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. [16] For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. [17] And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

All babies were created through Jesus and for Jesus.

Genesis 1:26-27

[26] Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” [27] So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

All babies are bearing God's image from fertilization.

Genesis 9:6

“Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.”

Psalm 127:3

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward."

Life is a precious gift from God. Every single preborn baby is a Heritage from Him.

Jeremiah 1:5

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you"

Every human has personhood and value before they are even conceived.

Proverbs 6:16-17

[16] These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: [17] A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,

Revelation 21:6-8

[6] And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. [7] He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. [8] But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

The Bible consistently emphasizes God's detestation of innocent bloodshed. Throughout the Bible God poured out judgment for shedding innocent blood and warned of future judgment.

Jeremiah 22:3

[3] Thus says the Lord: Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.

Isaiah 59:7

[7]  Their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their highways.

Isaiah 49:15

[15] “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.

Deuteronomy 30:19

[19] I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that  I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

Matthew 18:10

[10] “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven."~Jesus

Do not shed innocent blood.

Jeremiah 7:6

Cursed is the man who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person

Deuteronomy 27:25

You shall not murder.

Exodus 20:13

Amos 1:13

[13] Thus says the Lord: “For three transgressions of the Ammonites, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because they have ripped open pregnant women in Gilead, that they might enlarge their border.

Psalm 106:37-38

They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.

Abortion is murder and modern day child sacrifice.

Leviticus 20:1-5

[1] The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, [2] “Say to the people of Israel, Any one of the people of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. [3] I myself will set my face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given one of his children to Molech, to make my sanctuary unclean and to profane my holy name. [4] And if the people of the land do at all close their eyes to that man when he gives one of his children to Molech, and do not put him to death, [5] then I will set my face against that man and against his clan and will cut them off from among their people, him and all who follow him in whoring after Molech.

This passage talks about sacrificing children to Molech. Molech was a Canaanite fertility god that people believed would give them good crops and safety. God states that He will set His face against not only the individual who sacrifices their child to Molech but also the community that neglects to punish the perpetrator. This passage reflects God's anger toward child sacrifice as well as His anger towards individuals who remain apathetic to it.

If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman, and she gives birth prematurely, but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined …if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life.

—Exodus 21:22,23

The preborn babies were provided equal protection and justice  in the law. If the baby died, the one who caused their death had to die. God commanded “Life for life” punishment, showing their equal value to Him.

Exodus 23:7b

“Do not kill the innocent and righteous.”

Every baby is innocent.

Isaiah 5:20-23 ESV

[20] Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! [21] Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight! [22] Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing strong drink, [23] who acquit the guilty for a bribe, and deprive the innocent of his right!

Romans 13:8-10 ESV

Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

The preborn babies are our neighbors.

Ezekiel 16:20-21

[20] And you took your sons and your daughters, whom you had borne to me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your whorings so small a matter [21] that you slaughtered my children and delivered them up as an offering by fire to them?

Our children are God's children.

Matthew 1:20-25

[20] But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. [21] She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” [22] All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: [23]  “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). [24] When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, [25] but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus, stooped to human levels, entering the world through the womb, where His redemptive journey began. Significantly, Jesus, our Savior, was once a fetus.

Luke 1:15

“He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.”

Isaiah 49:1, 5

“The Lord called me from the womb… formed me from the womb to be his servant.”

Galatians 1:15: “But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and had called me through his grace.”

There is life and a purpose given to the pre-born.

God used the Greek word “Brephos” in the Bible to refer to babies at different developmental stages, both in the womb and outside of the womb. This underscores their equal value in His eyes.

What about the cases of rape or incest?

In Psalm 127:3 God makes it clear every child is a heritage and a gift from Him. He gave no exceptions.  God never gave exceptions when He commanded us to not shed innocent blood, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Romans 2:11 For there is no partiality with God.

Proverbs 17:13

[13] If anyone returns evil for good, evil will not depart from his house.

^According to God children are a blessing and a gift from Him. Killing them with abortion is returning evil for good, no matter the circumstances. Murdering God's very gift to us, a precious child created in His image is evil.

Romans 12:21

[21] Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Deuteronomy 24:16

[16]  “Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.

Two wrongs never make a right. No one should be punished to death for the crimes and sins of others. In all circumstances abortion sheds innocent blood. Abortion is murder and an abomination to God in absolutely all circumstances. (Proverbs 6:16-19)

2 Timothy 3:16-17

[16] All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, [17] that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

There is forgiveness for abortion and salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for those who truly repent and believe in His Gospel.

THE GOSPEL

The fall of man caused separation between God and all people, rendering man ultimately hopeless and in danger of eternal damnation. The Bible teaches that man is born a sinner and regularly violates God’s Law (Rom. 3:23; James 2:8-11). Since God is the righteous Judge, He will punish sinners according to His eternal standard (Rom. 2:4-8). According to God’s Word, that punishment is an eternal torment in Hell, separated forever from the goodness of God (2 Thes. 1:7-9). The good news is that God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, who is eternal and equal Him (John 1:1; 10:30). Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin to be the means of our escape from the curse of the Law, bondage to sin, and the wrath of God (Luke 1:26-35). He lived the sinless life, that no human could live and voluntarily died on the cross, by taking upon Himself our sin and the wrath of God that we deserve (1 John 3:5; Romans5:8). He shed His blood and died for the complete atonement of all of our sins, was burried and rose again on the third day. ( 1 Corinthians 15 1-4). Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through any self-effort. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5). We must have true faith, when we have true faith we receive the Holy Spirit and we are born again, Jesus said we must be born again.

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us In this: While we were still sinners, Chrst died for us .

Romans 10:9-10 [9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Luke 13:5 [5] I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” ~Jesus

John 3:3[3] Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Ephesians 1:13-14 [13] In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, [14] who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
